We’re Vanda Health.
In 2017, Raeann Voorhies started turning a conviction into an organization. She established Voorhies and Associates Senior Living Management and Consulting — V&A — as a one-woman operation. She was the owner, the operator, and the nurse consultant. She answered the phone, drove to communities, and figured out how to build something meaningful out of a belief that community-based care in Oregon could be done better.
The work was good. The relationships were real. The team that formed around the mission was exceptional. V&A grew beyond what Raeann had imagined, and in 2021 it became Vanda Health, a name that reflected what the organization had actually become: not a few individuals working in quality improvement, but a full team of senior living professionals with decades of combined experience in community-based care.
Today, Vanda Health is a multi-state consulting and management organization serving care operators across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, and Arizona. We are nurses, administrators, operations specialists, financial managers, marketers, and care professionals.
We are still led by the same conviction that started it all: that community-based care, done right, can be something genuinely extraordinary for the people who live it.
In Raeann’s words:

Who We Are
Vanda Health is built around people who chose this work on purpose. Many of us started our careers in senior living as housekeepers, caregivers, and medication technicians, and grew into nursing and leadership roles through years of being present inside care communities. We know what it looks like when care is delivered well. We know what it feels like when it falls short. That knowledge is not theoretical. It is personal.
We are problem solvers, innovators, relationship builders, and resident advocates. The residents in our communities are not census numbers. Every person we serve is someone's family member, and we carry the weight and the privilege of that every day.
We have worked across the Pacific Northwest in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, small businesses, large corporations, and schools. Different settings, different roles, one shared commitment: building a different kind of senior living experience, in every community we manage and every operator we consult with.
